Mental Health First Aid
Yesterday I qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.
I was so very proud to receive this certificate in my email yesterday signalling my qualification as a mental health first aider after studying with Solent Mind and Time to Change through November. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am so grateful for Tom Cleary and Donna Devlin from Solent Mind for guiding me and my fellow studiers through the subject matter.
Mental Health First Aid training is a perfect complement to the Coaching work I want to do through new Day coaching. To work with people who have been through struggles with their mental health and want some support to help them make an impact back in the workplace.
It doesn’t mean I am trained counsellor, or psychotherapist but it does mean I am more aware and understanding of a wide variety of mental health problems and how best to talk to and work with someone who has been through them. I can only imagine it will make me a better coach.
If you are struggling with anxieties as you return to work and looking for someone to support you then please get in touch at richard@newdaycoaching for a free, no obligation introductory chat to explore how I may be able to help you through this time. https://www.newdaycoaching.co.uk/121-coaching
If you are an employer and would like to talk about how to support people through anxiety and stress then drop me an email at the same address to discuss the benefits holding a session or series of sessions to do just that. https://www.newdaycoaching.co.uk/public-speaking
